PORT SHEPSTONE - South Coast Natal

Port Shepstone - named after Sir Theophilus Shepstone a prominant colonial statesman during 19th centuary. First light acquired in 1895 when port Shepstone was a functioning harbour. Now a picturesque black and white lighthouse open to the public. Key is available from the office for a veiw from the top.

"Send the light, the blessèd Gospel light;Let it shine from shore to shore! Send the light, the blessèd Gospel light;Let it shine forevermore!"
